The first quarter of 2024 has been an interesting period for sports games apps in Europe. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how the top five contenders fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile Soccer from Electronic Arts showcased a strong performance with revenues starting at nearly $743K in the first week of January and peaking at about $1.5M in early February. Downloads saw a high of approximately 368K in the first week, with a noticeable dip to around 245K towards the end of February. Weekly active users peaked at 18M in late January, followed by a gradual decline to 14M by the end of March.

8 Ball Pool™ by Miniclip.com maintained steady revenue, hovering around the $400K mark, with slight variations throughout the quarter. Downloads for the game reached their zenith at 363K in mid-January, then fluctuated, ending the quarter at around 238K. Lastly, Head Ball 2 - Soccer Game from MASOMO LIMITED showed revenues starting at about $76K and witnessing a slight increase to $76K in late March. The game's downloads peaked at 253K in late January, with weekly active users seeing a high of nearly 2M in the same period.
